April 21, 2018: Ex-Bulls everywhere

posted in: Bulls | 1

I thought there were a lot of ex-Blackhawks in the playoffs…there are, but the same goes for ex-Bulls everywhere in the NBA playoffs.  Ex-Bull here, Ex-Bull there, Ex-Bulls everywhere.

The obvious first place to look is the Timber-Bulls.   Man I was hoping they could give the Rockets a run for their money.  I don’t think Buckets is 100%.   How can you not root for this team though?  Thibs at the helm brings back good memories…still can’t believe they dumped him.   Butler, a guy who I thought would be a Bull forever.  My 6 year old son still says it was a horrible decision by the Bulls to trade him; I still agree.  Then there’s Taj, the hard hat lunch pail guy who came to play every single game.   And Rose…  He’s showing a little something something in these playoffs.  Could he still have a future in the NBA?  But that’s not it!  They even have Aaron Brooks and Jamal Crawford!!!!  Just crazy!

Watching them celebrate a title would be great, but…against the number one seed Rockets, it seems bleak.  Then there’s the other team full of ex-Bulls, the New Orleans Pelicans.  They swept the Blazers first round.  Of course, Anthony Davis is the main guy (from Chicago too by the way), but Rondo, Niko, and E’twan Moore are all included too.  Rondo seems to thrive in the playoffs.  There are some trains of thought that think if Rondo doesn’t get hurt that year, that we sweep the Celtics.  Not sure about that, but there is no doubt Rondo means business come playoff time.   And Niko…  Looking all young without that nest on his face.  Then there’s Moore….loved him off the bench back in the day.

That’s why you should make absolutely certain djpaulkom.tv viagra prescription that you are impaired, delicate, or homebound. But wait there’s more…  The Heat Sixers series features DWade, the guy who stole money from us, James Johnson who we drafted I believe, and Marco Bellinelli, the sharpshooter from the Bulls past.   What about Kyle Korver who’s rolling with the Cavs nowadays?  Yep, another one.  I remember going to a pre-season Bulls function when we were season tickets holders, and my wife taking a picture with him.  The picture ended up in the Bulls magazine the next month.   Still have that magazine…her five minutes of fame…haha.

Hey wasn’t Jose Calderon from the Cavs on the Bulls briefly too?  Yeah, was looking forward to him suiting up, but we traded him before ever getting a number assigned.  Then there’s the famous Jordan Bell that the Bulls traded away for cash considerations during the draft last year; now he may get a ring with the Warriors.  There’s Pau Gasol and Jeffrey Lauvergne on the Spurs.  Thabo Sefolosha on the Jazz, and finally Tony Snell on the Bucks.

18 Ex-Bulls players and 1 head coach in this year’s playoffs!!!  You thought I was kidding.   And we couldn’t make it work with any of them, yet all of them are playing on winning teams right now.  Haha…on each of their respective teams they play a role, but if we put them all back on the Bulls… How far do you think we’d go?  It’s still pretty funny to see all of them.  Well, go ex-Bulls!!!  I guess there’s a pretty good chance of seeing one of them celebrate a title.   That’s all I have to go on now…rooting for these guys, and rooting against the Cavs, which, sorry, means you too Korver and Calderon.

One team’s trash is another team’s treasure! So many ex-Bulls and Chicago guys playing in the playoffs. It really does make you wonder how and why the Bulls let so many of them go to play a role for a playoff team now. Who would the starting 5 be for the Bulls? Rondo, dwade, buckets, korver, and paupau? With 6th men jamal Crawford, Taj, and niko leading the charge off the bench? Yes, I purposely left drose off the roster…hahaha. Seems like a team that could make some noise. Oh well, good luck to them all. Not really rooting for any of them but would not mind seeing them do well. Bottom line, take out the cavs and goodluck vs the warriors!
