February 15, 2018: Watch Out Below

posted in: Blackhawks | 1

Free falling… eight is enough… both titles I’ve used before… both titles would be appropriate right now with our Blackhawks.  Instead, it’s watch out below, as the Blackhawks continue to play like dog crap, as their season is painfully coming to an end right in front of our eyes.

I remember that victory against Nashville, the game right after the all star break.  It was a hard fought 2-1 victory, and I thought, like I have after many Hawks wins, that THIS is the one that will get them going.  Well, that was January, and that was the last Hawks win.  Yep, winless for February wasn’t exactly what I had in mind… I didn’t mean going backwards.

We haven’t scored more than 3 goals in the past 8 games.  They only scored more than 2 goals one time!  They’ve given up at least 3 goals in each game.  It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know how this has played out.  Ugly!  Ugly, ugly, ugly!  What the heck has happened to the boys?

Looking back a little further… they’ve lost 12 of the past 14 games.  This is not going to end well.  Forget about the playoffs at this point.  I stopped keeping track of how many points the Hawks are out of the second Wild Card position.  I thought a sweep in the first round of the playoffs was a bad end to the season.  How about not making the playoffs for the first time in 10 years?

On one hand, you have stressed-out loved ones urging, pleading, and even screaming warnings about the impending doom; begging you not to tadalafil online pharmacy go out for work. What tadalafil australia may interact with this medicine? Certain drugs for high blood pressure, tamsulosin and prazosin for enlarged prostate, nitrates such as glyceryl trinitrate for angina and other heart conditions. Pfizer makes the best drug that removes viagra cialis india impotency when you really want to get rid of it. Mango butter has been included in the formula for its aphrodisiac or “sexual interest improving” effects sample viagra prescription in men. Yeah, it sucks.  There’s still enough talent on this team, no?  Yes, some of it has gotten old, but what can we do about that?  You know, the core guys who were part of the 3 Cups; how do we treat them?  Just ship them off… trade them away.  I think that was BS what we did to Hammer.  How do you handle the end for all-time players?

It’s great that the Hawks have a lot of good young players too, but with those big contracts that the old core have… wait a second.  I guess we HAVE rewarded the boys… those guys that were around for each of those 3 awesome Cups.  They’re set for life, and deservedly so.  But that doesn’t help figure out what we do about the team on the ice.

It was a lot less difficult doing the cap exercises after winning a Cup.  Doing it the past couple years after not winning has been a little tougher.  This year may be the toughest yet.  Will the changes reach into the front office?  What about Q?  The second most wins for a coach in NHL history… 3 Cups.  Same type of thing with him as it is with that core.  How could we possibly get rid of him?

For all those years we’ve taken the playoffs for granted, this year will be the one that snaps us out of it.  Well, unless they can win like 20 in a row… haha.  Go Hawks!

How hard has it been lately watching the Hawks? I mean, 8 losses in a row! OUCH! It is an awful shot to the gut with the realization that the playoffs may be out of reach for the first time in 10 years. How? Why? What happened? Too many questions without answers right now. We keep waiting for them to snap out of it, get things going, have a 10 game win streak…something, anything! If the talent is there, then what is the issue? A lot of questions to face this offseason for the Hawks…an earlier offseason than getting swept last year. Changes coming without a doubt if the playoffs are missed. 20+ games left. Do the Hawks have a run in them? Need a W to snap the losing streak and go from there. Come on boys! I don’t like not having hockey to watch in the spring! GO HAWKS!!!
