November 21, 2017: One of Six

After the brutal fantasy loss last week, my playoff life is on the line from here on out.   No chance for error, plus I still need help.  Why is it that I still feel pretty good?

Getting another win in the bank certainly helps that.  I played the 2nd place team, and beat him easily.  He’s always in the conversation for the league title.  He’s the guy that always takes Rodgers, no matter the cost.  It usually works out pretty well for him, except this year.  With Rodgers out, he turned to Taylor from Buffalo.  Before our matchup started it was announced that he would be benched.  So he needed to go to the waiver wire…

The FA QB that was projected to get the most points was none other than the guy whose guts I hate.  Yep, he picked up Jay Cutler.   I could have blocked him, but I didn’t.  I trusted in Jay and he didn’t disappoint.   3 picks before getting hurt;11 total points.   Game, set, match.

It helped that I got late TDs from Kamara, Green, Cooper, and the Jaguar defense.   I had another big week, and I actually cashed in on it this time.   It was one of six wins required to win the title; that’s what’s I want.

In 7th place, just sitting outside of the playoffs, I have the 3rd most points in the league.  The points scored against me are the most in the league.  Next week, the 5 and 6 teams play each other.  So, as long as I win my matchup, I will be in the playoffs with one week to go.  A loss and I’m done.

I have to ride with Matt Ryan at this point right?  Nobody is better on the wire, but maybe if the matchup is right?  Or maybe I pull the trigger on a trade and get another QB?  I think of all options, but think the best one is to ride him.  A date with Tampa Bay better net me at least 40.

Kamara will not be benched from here on out; he’s locked as my RB1.  This is the week I’m moving Howard to the bench with a tough matchup in Philly coming.  AJ, Amari, Stefon are locked and loaded; as is Evan Engram on Thursday night in the TE position.  I really like JuJu this week too, but he’s questionable, which puts me in a bit of a bind.   Not playing until Sunday night, I need backup options if I’m going to try to stick with him.  So I grabbed the Texans TE, who I actually had drafted, and Ellington to make my decision interesting if JuJu can’t go.  Trying to be smart here…

It’s only 5 more wins, but without any losses.  Nothing to lose and everything to gain.  It’s time to Blitz.

BEAR Down gets screwed again…96+ points out of 2 guys, Big Ben and Brown…gimme a break! I score 171+ and lose…oh well, another fantasy year down the drain. I need a miracle to make the playoffs…can’t lose again. You can win out and need moose to lose out to make it…possible but not probable. Can’t wait for Turkey Day football even though the matchups kind of suck. BEAR Down!!!
