November 29, 2015: Bearing Down

posted in: Bears | 1

Please excuse the title. I told you this Bears victory over the Pack was going to keep me in a good mood for a good long time.  I needed it in more ways than one.

Last week was a rough one ATS. 1-3 to be exact. Then I grabbed the Bears on Turkey night to get back on track. Here’s where we stand at this moment:

2015 playoffs:  8-3  2015 regular season:  13-9

Still doing pretty well I must say, but it hasn’t been easy. It’s time to take a page from those Bears and start bearing  down with these picks. It doesn’t seem like an easy week to me. Last week looked rough, and it was. I’m having a tough time picking games…

What should I do?  A smart man would pass completely on this week if that’s the true feeling. Don’t force it. I really loved that line on Thursday for our game vs the Pack; easy play, although betting the Bears is never easy, since my heart is into it. But, this year I’ve been pretty good picking them. No Bears Sunday, so where do we go from here?  Here’s where:

Oakland -1 at Tennessee

Going back with the silver and black again.  In a game that may be a shootout, I like the Oakland offense to really play well. They fell flat on their face last week at Detroit, but that may be more a reflection of how Detroit has been playing.  It’s still strange to see the Raiders favored in any road game, but I like it.

Arizona -10 at San Francisco

It’s been all about Carolina so far in the NFC, but these Cards are no slouch. It may be them and the Panthers squaring off in the NFC title game, and I’d think I’d actually roll with the Cards. Long way until then, for now, they pound a hapless Niners squad. I’d take this line at whatever it was. Don’t like betting favorites, but this may be my favorite game of the week.

Pittsburgh +3.5 at Seattle

My 3rd pick is the 3rd road team I’m playing. In Seattle that is usually never good, but that ship has sailed. It’s not last year any longer Petey. More of a play against the Seahawks than anything. Besides the Niners, this team shouldn’t be favored over anybody. ML is attractive here too.

Denver +3 New England.

My favorite type of play: the home doggie. And it’s against the Pats, how can I go wrong?  We know this Denver team relies on its defense for success.  They will carry them again here.  In what I see as a low scoring affair, Brock does just enough to win this game.  Money line Broncos play seems like a good one too.

Ok, so I found four… Five if you count the Bears on Thursday. I just can’t stop mentioning that. Brings a warm feeling to my inners. Good luck this week with your picks.  It’s time to separate the men from the boys.  Where do you stand?

  1. MK

4-1 with sanchez not being sanchize but rather sanchump, even on Turkey Day vs the lions.
Even though unposted, I was on det, dal, and DA BEARS, so 2-1 to start the week.
Going with 4 favs the rest of the week…
Kc-5.5…bills paid off mon night but short week in kc will be too much to handle
Nyg-2.5…gmen grab complete control of nfc east
Atl-2.5…with freemen out, it becomes the matty ice to julio show
Sea-3.5…pitt been playing great with all of their injuries, but I think sea at home will finally catch up to pitt
    Hammer time!
