The week 6 picks are upon us. I’m not sure I will be saving a special, dedicated blog to this every week. I may have to wrap this up with the Bears preview. With the Blackhawks starting the regular season, and the Bulls soon to follow, we have to create some room for them. Not now.. not yet. For now, we got this week’s fantasy picks, with a bonus one this week to boot.
QB: Ryan Tannehill over Eli Manning
We’ve been down this path with Ryan before, and he outpointed Rodgers for me. I’m riding him again; this time he’s playing against the Packers, but pitted head to head against Eli. I love the matchup for Ryan and I hate the matchup for Eli. Pretty simple.
RB: CJ Spiller over Eddie Lacy
Back to the Packer game, and how I think they bomb out this weekend in Miami. On the other side of that thought is CJ Spiller, and the Bills hosting the Pats. He’s let me down before, causing one of my losing picks, but I will give him a second chance here. Everyone deserves a second chance right?
WR: Brandon Marshall over Demaryius Thomas
Going against the #1 rated WR this week in Thomas, who is coming off a monster week. Brandon hasn’t been himself lately, but… I’m thinking big game for Cutler this weekend, which usually means big game for Marshall. Maybe 2 TDs this week are in order for BMarsh… which will be enough to outpoint Thomas.

I’m taking a guy that will be scooped up from all waiver wires this weekend over the #1 overall rated RB going into the year. He’s been a bust so far, and things won’t get much better for him this week. Meanwhile, if you can grab Oliver, if for anything this week’s matchup vs Oakland, it will be worth it. He’ll be large.
So there it is. I called a perfect 5 for 5 last week, and went 3-2. A perfect 6-0 this week thrown on top of my current 13-19 record, would bring me to .500. Ehhh…. maybe not 6-0, but I feel pretty good about them, or I wouldn’t have made them. Heck, yeah, 6-0. I want to be perfect. I am a perfectionist. It’s hard to lose regardless of what I’m doing, watching, or playing. I want to win it all. I will make progress this week. I will continue to get better. I will.
