April 16, 2025: Played Out

Anyone else sick of the play-in BS? Anyone else still believe that the Bulls could do something? Yes and yes for me. I’m tired of not making the real playoffs, yet, I was “all-in” on this Bulls team coming into Wednesday night at the UC vs the Miami Heat. Sure, I wasn’t stupid enough to think they could get into the playoffs and beat the Cavs, but… I certainly was buying into them winning both of the play-in games. Sucker…

I was buying in so much that I bet on the Bulls to both make the playoffs and win this game (and come back at the half). I was buying in so much that I went ahead and bought us tickets to the game. Yes, we were in the house for this shit show, and as you may have imagined, I have some thoughts.

I was pissed leaving there. After hearing the 300 level chant “Sell the Team” late in the game, I yelled out my 2 cents: Fire Billy! I have to take my frustration out on somebody, and he’s as good as anybody. As the boos reigned down as the clock ticked to triple zeros, I looked for more outlets. Of course, the “sell the team” chants are directed at Reinsdorf; I’ll co-sign that every day and then some. Let’s not forget about the GM, who has made mistake after mistake trying to build a winning roster. As far as I’m concerned, the owner, GM, and coach should all go; clean the house! But, that’s not going to happen AND at the end of the day, although there is plenty of blame to go around, I have to look at the guys on the court.

My biggest outlet will be Vooch; I was really booing his ass during the intros and not saying VOOOOOCH. I told my son he was going to screw up tonight, and he did. He looks like an old man out there. As DD and Lavine finally hit the road, I’ve been waiting for Vooch to follow; hopefully that was his last game in a Bulls uni. Sure, he’s the double double machine, but… he plays absolutely ZERO defense. As the Heat guys beat their defender at the top and drove to the hoop, Vooch would keep one hand out on his man and the other hand, well… I mean, at least throw a hand up; he can’t even do that. For any team with any type of brains, when you’re playing the Bulls and Vooch is on the floor, you know that’s a free ticket to the rim; there will be no resistance. There was another play I’d like to mention too. Dalen Terry was inbounding the ball under the Bulls basket. Vooch was boxing out Bam trying to get in position to catch the ball. Terry threw the ball his direction; Vooch took one step and said F it… I’m not getting that. Well, Bam did, and waltzed down the court for an uncontested dunk. Oh let me count the ways….

Obviously, I won’t be able to get this out in one blog… let’s go to the next.
