August 8, 2014: The Hate Files VIII

posted in: Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs, White Sox | 2

On 8/8, I bring you the 8th installation of the Hate Files.  This is an instant reaction to the news today that Kevin Love is going to be joining Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.  Kevin Love is now a hated man.

Why can’t stars stay with their teams and win?  Why does everybody have to ride somebody’s coattails to glory?  Is that really what you want to be known for?  Lebron started this when he took his talents to South Beach.  Here is a guy who is the best player in the NBA leaving HIS team to join Wade’s team, and grabbing Bosh along the way, in order to win.  They did win 2 titles this way.  So since it works, why not do it?

There’s a little thing called pride.  Is there such a thing as winning the RIGHT way, or is it toss personal pride to the side and win at all costs?  I think Lebron actually figured out what he did, and how that was the “cheap” way to a title.  Now, he wants to come back to HIS original team and win a title; something he should have done since the get go.  He would have been hated a lot less had he went that route.  Now, we have someone to share the hate with…

Kevin Love is no Lebron James, and maybe he shouldn’t be judged the same way, but I don’t care.  He is a legitimate NBA superstar, kind of like a Karl Malone type.  Did the Mailman go running from Utah in his prime because he wanted to take the easy way to a title?  Did he ever win a title?  Which is better?  Obviously, Love is going for the title, and leaving his team in the dust.  Can’t hate him for that, right?  Wrong!

Here’s another superstar leaving his team to join forces with another superstar in an attempt to win an NBA title.  What’s wrong with that?  We wanted him here in Chicago.  That would have been OK, right?  Right.  That’s the beauty of the Hate Files… they don’t have to make any sense.  In this world, it’s either stay with your team, or come to MY team.  Because Love chose to wuss out and join LBJ, he gets hated.

They tried to add some pieces in Rubio and Pekovic, but Minnesota has never made the playoffs with Love.  Maybe that’s a reflection on Love more than anybody.  Maybe he’s NOT as big a superstar as I think, since he can’t lead HIS team to at least the playoffs.  Forget a title… this guy hasn’t even made it to the playoffs…. the ultimate loser.

Minnesota vs Cleveland?  Can I choose neither?  Both of these cities/states blow.  So the ONLY reason you’re leaving Minnesota is to ride LBJ’s coattails to the playoffs and beyond?  Zero respect buddy.  It’s bad enough you shunned playing for your country to protect yourself from injury because you knew you were abandoning ship.  Yeah, I know George got hurt, but playing for your country has to be something that you are proud to do.  Our boy Kevin chose to worry about himself over playing with his peers on the team trying to win something for his country.  Nice job K dog.

I liked Kevin Love, I really did.  If you want to go through some previous blogs, you will find my love for Love documented.  It’s all over now.  Down the fricking tubes.  As if I didn’t hate Lebron enough, now I got another sellout jumping ship to ride somebody’s jock to glory; now that’s something to be proud of.  Even coming to the Bulls wouldn’t be the same; it’s not like he’d be riding Rose’s coattails.  Rose is just trying to stay healthy.  By going to the NBA team with the best player, you completely sell out, and that’s what you did Love.

So I’ll conclude this instant Hate File with a re-confirmation of my hate for LBJ; you did it again bro.  You couldn’t do it in Cleveland alone.. that’s the real reason why you left Miami isn’t it?  You had this planned all along you scheming bastard.  This was a prerequisite to going back home.  Not to play for your home town team, but to go somewhere where you have a better chance of winning than Miami.  Go somewhere to grab another superstar to help you along the way.  No, you couldn’t just go mold Irving, Thompson, and Wiggins and the young Cavs into winners like you claimed.  You needed more.  You needed somebody already established to ensure your team never struggles.  You scumbag.  You found another scumbag to join you, and for that I hope you both tear an ACL.

Now I have to listen to how Cleveland is the hands down favorite to win the East; I call BS.  I’m still not buying it.  Get whoever else you want too.  It’s our year.  The Bulls will kick the Cavs’ ass this playoff season; remember who said it first.  When that happens, I will love every minute of it.

So welcome to the club Kevin Hate.  When the going gets tough, you leave.  You punked out in the ultimate way.  You left your team high and dry to ride the coattails of another superstar.  You pulled a Lebron, and for that, I hate you.

Kevin Love. Let the love overwhelm him and his queen. What a joke these “superstars” are nowadays! They cannot stand by themselves, their teams, and its city. I was so teary eyed that laqueen was coming back home to Cleveland…yeah fkn right. What a scam that whole article was about coming home…blah blah blah! Now he gets klove to join him cause we all know he can’t do a thing by himself. He is not strong willed nor does he have the leadership, guts, and ability under pressure to perform. Check your jock queen…it’s empty! But don’t worry, you have klove to help you with that now. You clowns deserve each other. I hope all that weight you lost is a sign of sickness. And by not playing for your country klove, I hope you snap a limb first game of the season. Enjoy each other and the ass whoopings the Bulls will give you this year!

There is a winner in this deal, the Minnesota Timberwolves. Good for them!
