July 2, 2015: The Hate Files XVIII

posted in: Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs, White Sox | 2

Is it just me?  I used to absolutely love them. It was must watch TV.  There wouldn’t be a day that went by that I missed it.  Now, there almost no days that I catch it.

Maybe I’m just getting old. I find myself only worried about local sports. I really only care about things happening with my Chicago teams.  Who cares about NASCAR?  Who cares about what Lebron had for breakfast?  Who cares about a soccer league in Europe?  I sure don’t. Sorry, but I have to do it. I hate ESPN.

So you’re going to tell me I have to wait 55 minutes for my 30 second highlight of the Cubs game?  Uh, no. Ain’t happening. Comcast sports tells me everything I need to know.  I’m not gonna lie…espn Chicago online is a go to site for me, but as far as the TV station…I almost never watch it anymore.

Need baseball highlights?  MLB network. Need hockey highlights?  You better not even bother turning on ESPN. They do cover the hell out of basketball. The only problem is that everyone at the network is on lebrons payroll.  The latest story when Lebron became a free agent again. It was top news. It even made its way into the local website. Why?  Everybody knew it was going to happen. Everybody knows it’s a formality. It’s a joke. Nobody can tell it like it is and report what he really is. The best loser of all time.

Now when it comes to football, espn has you covered…365 days a year. I’m sorry. I love football. I really do. But I don’t care about who’s getting arrested in the offseason. It’s top news. I did get into the NFL combine for a while, but you got NFL network for that. ESPN has an agenda, and they promote the hell out of it. How many times do we really need to talk about deflate gate?

Can chiropractic care help manage stress? My answer for this tadalafil from cipla question would be a big YES. The use of this medication tablets viagra online under the instructed ways will make your life smoother by treating diabetes. When medicinal drugs meant for remedying erectile dysfunction first surfaced, they free viagra no prescription were extremely costly(certain are even now even these days) and a handful of adult men are in search of best ED drugs, while Fildena is amongst them and the reason being its active ingredient, which is the first recognized medicinal drug for treating erectile dysfunction or impotence in men. Most Frequently Asked Questions about Subluxations The following are some Treatment Methods to reduce Back pain: Ice Pack Physical Exercise Analgesic Narcotic Muscle Relaxant Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory Drug Chiropractic Treatment Stretching Physical Therapy Massage Therapy Primary Care Provider (PCP) Orthopaedic Surgeon Spine Surgeon Pain Management Emergency Medicine Doctor Medical procedure Epidural steroid injection According to a report more secretworldchronicle.com cialis generika than 22 million of Americans visit chiropractic centre annually. If it’s not NFL players making the top story in the offseason…for the wrong reason, it’s coverage of NASCAR. It’s more exciting trying to drive out of downtown every day than watching guys drive in circles. But the worst is their coverage of soccer. Who cares?  I don’t care about the Chicago Fire. You think I care about what happens in this sport on the other side of the world. Nope. What’s next?  The European basketball league. No room, they’re already covering high school basketball. Please.

And what about the personalities at the mothership?  Colin Cowherd… hate him.  Stephen A. Smith…ok.  The only show that I like tuning into is PTI because of Wilbon… Chicago guy.  All the other good personalities are gone.  Olbermann is back with ESPN, but Patrick has got his own show.  Rich Eisen is at NFL Network… Harold Reynolds MLB network, and Stuart Scott RIP.  Berman is annoying, as is Cris Carter.  Tom Jackson is OK, and Ditka is Ditka.  Overall, I’m just not that crazy about listening to most of these guys.  Mostly I think, I just don’t care about what goes on in the sports world other than Chicago.

So it makes sense that I hate them now.  Maybe it’s just that I don’t have as much time as before.  What takes top priority is seeing my team’s highlights, and some days, I don’t even get that.  If I didn’t watch the game, it’s sometimes just a quick check of the final scores.  I definitely don’t need to see where Lebron got his haircut, talk about some “thrilling” Nascar race, or see that 2 European soccer powerhouses battled to a 0-0 tie.

There are no more days when I sit back and flip on Sports Center.  Yes, time is an issue, but even if I did have more, I wouldn’t waste it watching the national take on our sports world.  I know more about the Chicago teams than all those guys do anyways.  I want to hear my local guys, that know, talk Chicago sports.  I don’t want to listen to Mike and Mike talk about the Yankees, or Cowboys, or Lebron again.  If you’re not talking Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs, Bears, or Sox, I don’t want to hear it.

So the return of the Hate Files, months since the last one, takes a shot at the worldwide leader.  Not sure even what date to put on here, but it’s been a while.  We’ll take a shot.  Had to get some hate out; I’ve been waiting for this one for a while.  ESPN… nope, ESPNOT.

ESPN is definitely harder to watch than it used to be. They cover the nba like they are auditors. Sportscenter is an hour show with the first 20mins covering 1 nba game, squeezing all the other stuff in only to come back to talking about the nba for 20 more mins. Maybe it is because I like the nba the least out of the major sports, and that they have the queen on her throne, but ESPN over kills the nba. And now, they show soccer highlights, cricket matches and scores, and other nonsense that I could care less about. If I want something ESPN related, I use their internet sites. The days of watching ESPN and sportscenter are long gone, especially if I am trying to catch a Chicago highlight. Keep pushing your agenda ESPN, I will keep changing the channel.

ESPN has turned into CNN!! They cover the stories that no Chicago fan really cares about. 90% of all good sporting news is on the internet now. I use sportscenter to put me to sleep at night.
    Colin Cowherd…just annoying,
Stephen A. Smith..too old and says the same stuff over and over, a drunk Charles Barkley can do a better job calling out people.
    Olbermann.. who cares
Dan Patrick..hope he falls in a hole and never gets up
Harold Reynolds..just don’t like the guy
Berman shouldn’t quit his day job
Chris Carter is always trying to help Randy Moss in every story he tells
Tom Jackson just says anything to end the show so he can be 1st at the buffet line.
Ditka, you can tell that all he wants is a beer and one hand and a babe in the other.

I understand that ESPN has to be the world wide leader in sports, but how bout a ESPN Chicago the channel??
ESPN, your staff is old and out dated, you try and push sports we don’t care about down our throats, and if I hear about ESPN deportaz or whatever its called, I’m gonna drive to Bristol and give you a top 10 you can write home about.

This blog should start a pod cast!!!!!
