November 14, 2017: The Return of Niko

posted in: Bulls | 1

Not the most famous of returns… it’s not like the most famous one panned out anyways.  Yet, the return of Niko Mirotic to the practice floor is notable for other reasons.

It’s not DRose returning from one of his many knee injuries; heard he’s already been hurt in Cleveland.  Go figure.  That return never really got off the ground.  I saw something on Twitter about another “return”… the return of Zack Lavine from his knee injury.  Do we really have to label it that?  Seriously… maybe if the whole Derrick Rose return went better… maybe.  It just seems like a played out term.  Hopefully Zack’s will go a little better.  Although I wasn’t happy to trade for him, I am now looking forward to seeing him play in a Bulls uniform.

On the other hand, if Niko doesn’t play another game in a Bulls uniform, I won’t shed any tears.  I was the typical swing fan on Niko.  I remember wanting to trade him before he made his debut, figuring that’s when his value would be the highest; I think I was right.  However, once he took the court, he surprised me.  I was very happy with what I saw from him under Thibs… key words, under Thibs.  Once Thibs left, the career trajectory of Niko took a nose dive.

Playing Hoiball, or whatever you want to call “see a shot, take a shot”, his performance sucked; another casualty of the Bulls letting Thibs go.  On that note, maybe Thibs would want to take another spin with him?  Stay tuned.  As for the Niko under Fredberg version, I could do without it.  Wait, there’s more…

Of course the famous punch heard around the city, when Portis leveled him, and broke his face.  Did he have it coming?  Here’s the deal.  There’s always two sides to every disagreement.  Niko was certainly not innocent in this scenario.  But… Bobby did cross the line when he essentially assaulted his teammate.  It’s not the first or the last time this will happen… doesn’t make it right though.  And where does Fredberg factor into calming this whole thing down before it erupts?

How well you get along with your kids, friends or family also does not canada viagra buy matter. It viagra professional canada aimhousepatong.com is diagnosed as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Now there’s the whole him or me thing; bye Niko… while we’re at it, bye Bobby too.  Sad thing is, we’re not going to get anything for either of them.  Sadder thing is, not like we got anything for more valuable assets in the recent past.  It’s just another storyline that personifies this train wreck of an organization that we’re watching.

Yes, they may have, may have hit on a draft pick.  I really like the way Markkanen looks.  Did the Bulls finally draft somebody good in the first round?  If so, don’t worry, they’ll trade him eventually…

Yes, it’s tough to be upbeat about the Bulls.  The thing that really pissed me off the other day was when I looked for tickets.  The cheapest ticket is still $40?!?  You have to be kidding me?  To see this trash?  I wanted to pay half of that for each of the 3 seats to take my family; I’ll keep looking.  I was hoping to get some benefit from them sucking so bad.

But that’s the kicker… they don’t suck so bad.  At this rate, they will not be the worst team in the league as is the plan.  So much for the GarPax strategy.  Don’t worry, more trades will come.  Bye Lopez.  They’ll probably keep Zack on the bench as long as possible too.  And this minute restriction thing with Laurie?

GarPax will find a way to screw it up; that we can be sure of.  Unless maybe Collins is making some headways towards being the decision maker… Just another not so hot storyline to watch unfold, as the Bulls continue to march in place.  Go Bulls!

Niko is comparable to a poor man’s Toni Kukoc. The guy shows flashes of brilliance but seems to fall in love with the 3 point shot, just like 90% of the nba. That is what the game has turned into. Who can get hot behind the arc? Niko seems to be on his way out. He does not want to play with BP for obvious reasons. BP probably does not want to play with him, either. If one or both of them go, so be it. This franchise and team are already off the tracks. Hopefully, they don’t screw up Markk, who seems to be a solid draft pick so far. $40 a ticket to see this circus? Nah, I can see just as good from the tv when I want to punish myself. You are right, the Bulls have not been that bad, but they are just not trying hard enough to suck. Bring back tim floyd, he’ll show them how it’s done. In the meantime, maybe Collins is trying to turn this disaster around. Maybe he won’t have that kind of pull. Just part of the soap opera that is the Bulls right now.
