My wife asked me: Why do you hate the Bucks?

Welcome to the 53rd edition of The Hate Files, for all of you who can’t read roman numerals. It’s one of the original features; it’s the cherry on top of the therapy cake that is my blog. It gives me an outlet for this hate that is never good to keep inside. It lets me release it, file it, and move on… well, I can usually move on. This entry brings us to the team that has most recently eliminated one of my teams from the playoffs; that is usually an automatic. I may have to go back and check that, make sure that all teams/players that have ended our seasons have been accounted for; there may have been some that have slipped through the cracks over the years. The Milwaukee Bucks will not slip through.

Only a year ago, I told myself I didn’t mind seeing them win it all. With a superstar that I kind of liked deciding to stay with his team, vs jumping ship, bringing home the first title in a long time, I was good, even if it did make Packers’ fans happy. How quickly things have changed… It was almost a pre-determined fate, once the Bulls first round opponent was announced. For the Bulls, their first time back in the postseason in 5 years, coming into the playoffs slumping after a pretty fun season, I thought they’d prove the experts wrong, and make it a series; well, the experts were right in this case. Even though the series only went 5 games, that was plenty of time to build up hate for this squad; with the ass kickings at home, one of which I was there in person for, the hate was accelerated… and here we are.

Giannis is overrated, OK? Let’s just start there. How impressive is it when a guy is just bigger and stronger than everybody and just bullies his way to the rim constantly? It’s a joke frankly. I want to blame the refs for not calling fouls on every single one of his drives, but then the NBA would probably have their asses for trying to slow down one of its biggest stars. He can’t shoot, OK? He has no signature move; what the euro step? Give me a break. Sure, he can play D, but offensively… he’s an expert in bullying to the rim, along with an expert in kicking the ball out to the open guy… a true modern day NBA star…yawn! Screw that guy; hope he chokes on the next 100 Chick-fil-a nuggets he orders. Not sure why he isn’t endorsing some local Gyros place… that would make more sense. If Giannis would have messed up his knee instead of Middleton, the Bucks may have avoided this fate; obviously Middleton doesn’t mean shit to them, since they seemed to be stronger without him. Frankly, it’s amazing to me that the Bucks beat us up as bad as they did with their “depth” aka weak ass supporting cast.

Grayson Allen? He should have had a Hate File of his own for his reckless ass play against Caruso earlier in the year. I mean, I’ve seen plenty of faces over the years, but is there anybody that stirs up that feeling of punching someone in the face more than Grayson Dickhead? And of course, he plays maybe the best 2 games of his career against the Bulls at the UC; maybe he was playing in front of his ex-girlfriend, or to be fair, boyfriend in Chicago… who knows. It was a fricking lucky ass streak; not sure why TT didn’t smack him up… thought that was in the fine print of his contract… TT did smack up Bobby Portis; little payback for Mirotic, but all that seemed to do was fire his googly eyed ass up. He comes out and starts hitting everything… seriously? And then Brook “not much better than my brother” Lopez; I liked RoLo, but Brook… nah… Speaking of Bulls connections… didn’t Holliday’s brother play for us? If only Jrue could have been more like Justin… that would have been nice…

You know what else? Can’t stand Bucks’ fans either. There was a spattering of them in Chicago at the UC… nothing like the # of Bulls fans in Milwaukee, but we’re used to doing that up there… you know, Chicago north. But these Bucks fans… some of them wearing Packers jerseys??? You’re kidding me right? I mean, you can’t even afford a jersey of the team you’re coming to “support”, but instead throw on the ultimate Chicago enemy’s jersey? I saw Brewers fans earlier this year do the same at Wrigley. Must be a sorry ass Milwaukee thing; honestly, that deserves an ass beating on site. If I wasn’t a family man now… if this was 20 years ago and I was hanging with the boys… we barely made it out of Milwaukee back in the day without a fight… anyways…

These are the type of feelings that are stirred when I watch my team get smoked by another on the biggest stage. So why do I hate the Bucks? Quite simply, they beat the Bulls in the playoffs; do I really need any more reason than that? I don’t feel the need to explain myself any further than that; I’ve taken my shot at the Bucks, now I hope the Celtics take their shot and kick their ass, because although I was OK with the 1 title they won last year, I surely hope they don’t see another in my lifetime. Hoping to meet you again next year in the postseason to get some sweet revenge. Buck you Milwaukee…
