OK, I know the football season is over, but I need to let something out. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again; this time I’ll make it official. After this latest Super Bowl win, that also cost me money, it’s pretty clear this needs to happen. Kansas City Chiefs, welcome to your Hate File.
It wasn’t always like this. I remember back in the day, OK my day, I liked the Chiefs. Albert Lewis, Deron Cherry, Derrick Thomas… Christian Okoye and Barry Word; these guys didn’t bother me one bit. Maybe these feelings started stirring when the Bears passed on Patrick Mahomes. By the way, every NFL team passed on him, OK? It’s not only us… if every team knew what this guy was going to turn into, every single team would have made a play for him, so enough of that shit, please. I didn’t hate Mahomes right out of the gate; why would I? He was a talented dude, eventually leading his team to a Super Bowl; no problem. But then it happened again, and now a 3rd time?!?! In fact, they’ve been in the AFC championship like 7 straight years or something like that? Too much winning, unless it’s from one of my teams, will lead to the hate. This 3rd Super Bowl broke the damn. It’s not just that though.
If you watch TV, you’ve seen a commercial involving the Chiefs. Andy Reid with the Chefs vs Chiefs, and now his involvement with the State Farm bullshit?!?! Mahomes, Ma-auto, Ma-chunky… Where is my barf bag? Mahomes, not only in bed with Jake from State Farm, has Verizon, Subway… I know I’m missing something. Enough is enough. Hey, I don’t care that the dollars are rolling in for him, I’m just sick of seeing these guys on TV. Kelce too now?!?! This dude has blown up because of the person he’s dating, which adds to the hate for this team for me. Two things at once, pfizer vaccine, DirecTV… and on and on and on. There is too much Chiefs all the time. Now that the season is over, maybe at least the commercials will die down… at least for a bit. Blah!
So too much winning, too much exposure… what else? Well, how about a shooting at their celebration parade? Really? You can’t blame the Chiefs for that stupidity, but I will. They don’t deserve another title, now, and forever. I remember the Bulls winning back in the day, and let me tell you… we were all happy. I don’t care if it lasted a couple days, and then we got back to the BS, but for that moment, everybody came together…not in Kansas City though. Fricking pathetic. Take note NFL…
Another reason to hate these guys, is the coddling the NFL has done to them. They sure do protect their golden boys. Feel free to call a holding penalty on the Chiefs in the Super Bowl… any of them!!! You kidding me? The team penalized for the most holding calls all year suddenly don’t hold at all?!?! I call Bullshit… the one, the best way the refs/NFL can control a game is via the holding call. A call that can be made on every play, will either be called in a critical spot, or not called, like ever, to impact the outcome of the game. Good job on that… congrats.
Enough Chiefs, please do us a favor. Andy Reid, go ahead and retire, and corner the market on chicken nuggets. Kelce, hang it up, and travel the world with your girlfriend, until she dumps you and writes a song about you. Mahomes, get with your brother and open a TikTok empire, just don’t assault anyone, OK? Kansas City Chiefs… go back to being a likeable team, that doesn’t win shit. So sick of these bastards… welcome to the club.
