This time Detroit was on the receiving end of both those Ls. What’s so good about Detroit? I’ve been there; nothing special to me. Sure, I liked the casino downtown… little sketchy though, but nothing I ain’t used to. Grabbed some gyros at a Greek spot down there. I went to a concert at Comerica Park, Eminem and Jay Z… it was fun. I liked the way all the stadiums are close together. I was lucky enough to see the old Tiger stadium, watching my brother play a game with his travel baseball team. I remember staying at Doubletree, and getting chocolate chip cookies. I certainly don’t remember ever eating any pizza up there, but now, you see “Detroit Style” pizza popping up here and there. I mean, Jet’s Pizza isn’t horrible; it’s decent in a pinch, and I love, love, love pizza, so most are doable… except of course Papa John’s and Domino’s and most of the shit out there in California… Shakey’s for example. But Detroit style pizza??? Whatever… We know where the best pizza is; right here, the place where I rest my head every night. Sure, deep dish this, deep dish that… it’s awesome, don’t get me wrong, but for an every week pizza, you need a great thin crust. For us, at this time in our lives, it’s DiVita’s… if you’re in the city, look it up. Late night too… open until midnight for those late night pizza cravings. Anyways…
Yeah, the Pistons jumped out early on our Bulls, but I knew. I knew the Bulls weren’t going out like that against those chumps. The Bulls ain’t great, but… I actually have some faith in them. Under Donovan, our young Bulls are making great progress. It may not show up yet in the standings, but we’re getting there. I love that he benched the starters to start the 2nd half; that definitely lit a fire under the boys. And oh yeah, those standings… still sitting a half game out of the 8 seed. The 8 seed ain’t everything, but making the playoffs, getting that experience, is an important step. We’ll be there; you’ve heard me say this like every time I talk Bulls.

Yeah, who would have thunk it? Both the Bulls and Hawks winning games. Bulls at the Eastern leading 76ers on Friday may bring a different result. Back to back games in Carolina will certainly test the Hawks too. Enjoying the wins, looking forward to what’s next. Let’s go boys…
