February 7, 2022: The Hate Files LII

Back again… have some more hate to let out. Maybe I need to make this a Monday thing going forward? Mondays do suck; I think my 9 year old has already figured that out. He got up today, and he was upset; I asked him what was wrong. He pointed at the clock; he said it was already time to get ready… that time went by so quick. I chuckled. Yep, time doesn’t stop for anybody. I told him… it’s a good thing when it’s ticking down to the weekend, but not so much when it’s those hours/minutes before the school/work week begins. So here we are…

Time is especially great when it’s ticking down to summer vacation; yes, that’s already on my mind… it’s always on my mind. When making summer vacation plans, one of the first things I look at is the Cubs schedule; we try to incorporate a visit to another stadium with our vacation. LA, San Fran, Philly… all potential options this summer. But… but… can’t make any damn plans right now because currently MLB is on strike. This brings me to today’s Hate File. I could have said MLB in general, but when you have a commissioner, he is the face of the league, no? Here’s looking at you Rob Manfred.

WTF are you doing? In another squabble between billionaires and millionaires, can’t you step in and get this shit done? You need federal mediation now? Seriously? Money, money, money, money…. MONEY… the root of all evil. You know the people who will suffer the most; US… the fans. As if ALL of us aren’t already going through a fricking global pandemic, that already wrecked one baseball season; it did get the Dodgers their fake ring, but that’s another story. Baseball is already a game that people talk crap about… too long, too boring, etc. Not true for me; I love baseball… as do many, many folks. Now you want to F with us? The average joes, who will never see anything near the dollars both sides make… never see an annual salary of $11M like you see Rob. Baseball is a welcome distraction, one that lasts an entire summer, from the day to day that all of us have to deal with. I love watching the Cubs play; Wrigley Field is one of my happy places. Now we don’t know if/when these games will be played this season, because why again? If no games are played, nobody makes any money, right? Am I missing something? Just coming off a half season due to COVID, now we want to F around with some more games. I just don’t get it.

Alike other effective version of generic viagra purchase uk http://respitecaresa.org/get-involved/i-want-to-help/ sildenafil, Kamagra effervescent is also delicious in taste. Always make sure that you follow the directions given to you by important link generic cialis no prescription the doctor. Not known to most people, side effects of medications for treating hypertension and some order levitra online cardiovascular diseases.

One thing I do get, I guess, is that you Robby boy work for the owners; let me guess where your loyalties will be? Conflict of interest anyone? Shouldn’t the person overseeing the league, the game that we love, be independent of both sides, and just try to be fair with it all? What incentive does Manfred have in getting involved with this disagreement and settling it? Kind of like what incentive do teams have in bringing up their prospects if they withhold them for a few weeks and get another year of service time… The system is broken, no? What aren’t we trying to fix it? Isn’t there plenty of money to go around? I recently read that player salaries are going down; am I to assume owners are making less as well? How’s your salary doing Rob?

Maybe it’s unfair to expect the commissioner to make everything OK. I’m sure he’s doing bigger and better things like making sure certain folks who talk bad about him lose their job from the MLB network. This guy seems like a real douchebag, PLUS he works for the owners… and has ZERO incentive to push to get a fair deal done. Like I said, the system is broken. So maybe I should “hate the game, not the player”… but that’s not how these Hate Files work. I need a name; I need one throat to choke. I have some pretty big hands Rob… Step up and do something; don’t screw with the lives of the MLB fans; one day you may not have any… Well, who am I kidding… I’ll be right back out there as soon as I can. I just hate the fact that the season is hanging in limbo, as if all of our lives haven’t been in that state the past couple years. We need baseball more than ever. We need a commissioner who will help the game and not hurt it. Rob, what the F are you doing here? Jerk off…

I agree! They need to figure this out soon, always exciting when spring training starts knowing the baseball season is right around the corner. Hopefully it won’t be a shortened season
