January 3, 2021: Shameless

You know what? I don’t give two shits that the Bears lost to the Packers; the Bears are in the playoffs and that’s ALL that matters.

You watch Shameless? That’s a damn good show. Filmed mostly in Chicago, lots of LA stuff too, especially this year, it always comes up with some hard core shit. Yes, I miss Fiona, but it’s still holding its own. Looking forward to watching the next episode later tonight. Speaking about shameless…

Where do I begin? The fact that Delay of Game penalties are never called on Green Bay. Let’s be honest; the NFL pushes Green Bay and Rodgers all out. I mean, it’s flat out unfair; no bullshit. I wonder how much money State Farm is giving the NFL for a Packers Chiefs Super Bowl… The announcers are all in on it too. Didn’t even question the delay of game, yet want to replay a flinch by our offensive lineman… and say there’s not enough evidence to overturn the Kmet fumble… and show Hicks hitting one of the Packers after the whistle that wasn’t called. Are you shitting me? I see you guys got your pregame notes lined up… No shame in the NFL’s game, let me tell you.

But we had our shot… Duke Shelley… WTF? I thought at least Rodgers paid for that long TD throw, but then the replay shows you let up and rubbed his back? Seriously? Hammer that MFer… Fox had no shame showing one of the dirtiest plays in NFL history when Charles Martin slammed McMahon… or equally dirty when Mark Lee dared to take a legend over the bench 10 yards off the sideline. The Packers didn’t hesitate to deliver some shots in this one; why did we? We’ll always remember Corey Wooten… that could have been you Duke.

Speaking about no shame… how about the defense Pagano is calling matching up linebackers with receivers. Newsflash Chuck… unless your name is Roquan Smith, it ain’t going to work. Those announcers didn’t mention why a couple of those TDs happened; the Bears were missing arguably their best defensive player this year. I felt like punching Moose Johnston in the mouth.

So we got the Saints next week eh? OK, um, I know you just helped me win a fantasy football title, but Alvin… you got the ‘rona, I think you should sit out another week. And if you are healthy, then we need to get somebody in there to switch those results to make sure he doesn’t play. No Kamara, and I think the Bears have a serious shot. That is if Mitch can throw the ball down the field… Look, I love the way he’s played too, but if you think this is our long term answer at QB, I got a problem with that. The guy can’t throw the ball more than 10 yards down the field. He did put a ton into that long one to Mooney… nice play. But if I’m the opposing defense, I’m seriously packing it in. Has every team in the NFL seen the fake handoff, and pass to Mooney and/or Kmet running across the field? And Arob… where you at bro?

I have no shame in backing into the playoffs; making the playoffs in any league is not easy. This loss to the Packers, which would normally bother me, doesn’t. Sure, will we have to see them again if we beat the Saints; I think so. But we worry about that then. Missing two of our starting secondary, and Roquan most of the game vs Rodgers and his NFL officiating fueled offense was a big ask. Hopefully there’ll be a next time; hopefully we’ll be healthier. I’m serious… still, F Green Bay 7 days a week, but I’m going to forget about this game as soon as I finish this blog… Let’s bring our best next week boys; Bear Down!!!
