OK, so I watched all the old shit… the 85 Bears, all the Bulls titles, all the Hawks titles, the Cubs World Series stuff, Jordan highlights, Payton highlights, Urlacher highlights… Although I haven’t watched any of the Sox replays that have been on, I have watched other old baseball stuff. I said I wasn’t going to watch the reply of the Blackhawks 2019-2020 season, but I’ve bounced to it a few times. I’ve YouTubed stuff, watched The Last Dance over, finally watched the Sosa McGwire thing… now what? I’m waiting for live sports to return…. badly… any time now…
Here has been my recent sports viewing: old bike races in France! Yeah, tell me I’m not losing my shit. But hey… I like it, OK? It’s… relaxing, although the race is anything but that. Sure, at a high level, you’re riding a bicycle through the French countryside, through the mountains, into the city streets; that sounds fun as hell. But what transpires, is madness. Guys taking falls, guys running into the car that is filming the race, guys losing their bikes and starting to walk the race, while waiting for a new bike to be brought to them; how do you lose your bike? Watching a guy take a fall, and then watching X number of guys fall after him, that’s brutal. Definitely smart to wear a helmet riding a bike in these races.
The thing that is so crazy about these races is you have a bunch of bikes all packed together riding down this narrow path. Oh yeah, there are also cars riding along side of them… giving them water, coaching advice (like ride faster?), having replacement parts for the bikes, camera crews filming. Then to top it all off, you have the sides of the path lined with people.. some of them look straight up crazy, like they’ll jump out in front of your bike. I haven’t seen that yet, but I have seen these “fans” tapping guys on the back as they ride past; what the hell? This is wild man. I plan on watching more…

All I can say is, wow! The things that these guys can do with that soccer ball, the quickness, the cuts, the goals, the passes, the kicks, the headers. Love the way just the slightest touch with the foot will redirect it; the angles these guys use when making their moves are awesome. And not only touches with the foot… off the chest, the thighs, the head… I even saw Maradona stop one with his ass… yeah! Soccer never was my strong suit. It didn’t help growing up where I grew up, getting dominated… haha. I remember this one kid, at the Boys Club… the stuff he did with that ball, damn; I was definitely jealous. The only thing I could do was kick it hard.
Anyways, yeah, and then there’s fricking Marquee and Xfinity that don’t have a deal yet; wtf!?? Could have been watching a hell of lot more Cubs highlights during this crap, but noooo… you think they’ll have a deal worked out before the season starts, or am I going to get screwed again? We want sports! We want sports! Soon… very soon… maybe… maybe not… back to bike riding in France tonight!
