OK, I know it hasn’t been a week, but I’m back… talking about gambling. Do I have a problem? I think I know the answer to that question, but like anything else in life, in moderation, moderation… I thought I would be taking a hiatus a couple months back when I withdrew my profit ($250 if I haven’t mentioned that a dozen times) and dwindled my remaining balance down to $3, but… I have survived, and today, I have reached a milestone! I’m finally back over $20 in my Draft Kings account! Heck yeah!!!
I know, I know… it’s 20 fricking bucks; who gives a shit… I do. I worked hard to build up my little pile of acorns. The “hardest” part is staying discipline, not chasing, etc; I could probably write a book about this, and all the stuff you mentally go through to keep the train moving in a positive direction. I’m proud of myself dammit. Old me would have been busted out a long time ago AND I wouldn’t have even made a profit AND I probably would have put more in AND I would have been stomping around like an asshole when I lost AND… ask my wife for more ideas… haha. Yes, I’m fitting a little time in here and there in my busy schedule trying to develop a system to make a little moolah. Since I have reached the $20 plateau, I will up my 1 unit to $2… oooooohhhh.
As I’ve said before, do I regret not betting more when I win? Sure I do. If I knew when I was going to win, you know, that sure thing, I’d put every red cent on the game, but we don’t… We never really know when we’re going to win. Even the surest of bets isn’t a lock by any means. Sure, will we hit a “sure thing” once in a while, yes; we’ll lose a few of those in the meantime too though. Proceed cautiously basically. Try to bet the same on each game; that’s my strategy for now. If I keep surviving, maybe my system will dictate how many units I play on each game; not there yet. In the meantime, 1 unit per game… and less than a unit if I want to screw around with some in game bets, etc, which usually doesn’t pan out, so I probably should just stick with what I’m doing…
Where do we go from here? Up hopefully. Yes, $20 on July 20… 20 for 20; can I say 30 for 30 in 10 days? That would be nice. Or… there’s always the alternative; busting out, waiting for football season to begin, and reupping with another online sportsbook to get another bonus. I’d rather keep building what I have, but the alternative isn’t that horrible, especially if we’re talking only another $100 investment. I think my return to sports betting is going pretty damn well… of course now, I’ll lose like 10 in a row to go broke… haha.
Back to the system; there are baseball games every day… new chances to win money I say. Good luck to me!
