June 9, 2020: Football Train

posted in: Bears | 0

The one sport that has been least impacted at this point is football, whew! I don’t think anything will stop that football train from starting up and moving down those tracks. Full speed ahead!

And why is that? Well, football certainly cannot be played at social distance. Some players wear gloves today; maybe mandate that? Visors on the helmets too? Still, it is a FULL contact sport, more than any other. The timing of this pandemic was good for football; hopefully things continue to calm down the next couple months. But even if it doesn’t, football won’t stop. More like, nothing is going to stop that money train for running.

Money, money, money… There’s so much money in football, I can’t see it stopping… even if people continue to die. Sure, they’ll take precautions… maybe there won’t be fans for a while, but the show will go on. I wonder about players that are more concerned than others about the virus; what if they don’t want to play? You see that in general; people that are more concerned than others. You see states/cities react differently than others; surely the more populated ones are at greater risk, but that doesn’t mean the risk does not exist in those other states. We’re seeing a spike in those numbers now… Will there be another spike coming due to the thousands of people that were protesting across the globe? Will we see a new strain causing a spike in the fall? Who really knows?

Due to the presence of Sildenafil and Duloxetine, Malegra DXT Plus solves both erectile dysfunction http://www.tonysplate.com/blog/index.php?blogid=1&archive=2010-03 levitra online australia and premature ejaculation, killing two birds with one stone. Snovitra capacities by expanding the blood order viagra professional stream in the male organ. Hair loss has been known to buying viagra canada be connected to another deeper problem.

People are dying; that is a fact. Yet why does it feel like the gas pedal is being pressed? It feels like everything will be back to normal very soon. It feels like that will happen regardless of the deaths. Life will go on and whoever is going to die from it, will die from it? It will become just like any other death causing “thing”? Life will go on, just like football? Football=life?

Hey, believe me, I want to get back to normal ASAP, in every aspect. Are we ready for that? I knew most folks would NOT ease back into things. Once word is given, everybody will go 110% back to normal. Maybe this is why we’ve waited so long to start to phase back in? It makes sense. I think the phased in approach is definitely best, at least personally. Again, easy for me to say because my job was not impacted. It feels like this has turned into a COVID blog…

OK, well, if football is going to push on, that’s A OK with me. Certainly I’m ready for all sports to resume. Hockey and basketball not so much; the season was almost over anyways. As I mentioned, the fact that the Blackhawks were given a second life with the return scripted by the NHL gets me more excited. I’m missing the Cubs like crazy; couldn’t imagine no Bears football… Where does this leave us? Like everybody, I’m not sure what is right. Everybody needs to make decisions that are best for themselves and their families, including all professional sports. Of course we all know money plays a big part in it all, and for that reason, the NFL will press on. I’m good with that. Bear Down!
