It’s not about them right now. It’s about somebody who we hope will break that mold; did we finally get a QB?
Well, the Bears had 2 backup QBs on their roster prior to the draft; our other backup now has a gig in Buffalo. Going into the year with Nick and Andy… sounds like a fricking comedy sitcom… as our QBs… as if we couldn’t feel worse about ourselves. Enter Justin Fields; many believe the Bears got an absolute steal here. Many of the “experts” have been wrong plenty of times too. If he was that good, why didn’t somebody take him before us? I’m not thinking about that right now. I like the feeling that we got a steal, that we actually traded up and picked the right player this time. I like the idea of this kid being a bit pissed about not being taken higher; I like the vibe I get from this kid too… he is a kid you know? No, the fact of the matter is that Justin Fields will be the BAQ on our roster, if he isn’t already. There is not a doubt in my head who should be starting Week 1.
