May 7, 2020: Wishful Thinking

posted in: Bears | 0

As I saw the NFL schedule come out, I thought: this is really wishful thinking. Do we really feel like the NFL season will move ahead without issue? Hey, I want to believe it too; I thought we’d be back to some level of normal on June 1st. The way things are going though… this may be interesting, unless of course all the games are played in Florida and Texas. But for today’s purpose, I’ll go along with this train of thought. I’m going to believe the season will start as designed, all 16 games will be played, and we will have a Super Bowl as scheduled in early 2021. Here we go…

The Bears 2020 schedule… and predictions. Let’s do it!

Week 1 at Detroit: Win

Don’t have to do much thinking on this one. I see the word “Detroit” and I know it’s the Lions, and I know it’s going to be a win. Easy. Even Mitch dominates them…

Week 2 vs New York Giants: Win

Who is QB again for them? No clue, but like the first game, Mitch had a great game against them last year. If your team is in that small group, we will beat you again.

Week 3 at Atlanta: Win

Why not? Look, the defense will be the strength of our team again, regardless of what improvements we’ll see on offense. Any team that we play against whose defense doesn’t scare me, I feel like we have a pretty good chance. Obviously don’t know who will have a great defense, but based on what I know now, we’re good here.

Week 4 vs Indianapolis: Loss

I’m not going to put “win” next to every game… The Colts should be a playoff team this year. This will be our hardest game of the year thus far. We’ll lose a close one as we head into our first prime time game.

Week 5 vs Tampa Bay: Win

F Brady. I know we haven’t beat him… ever. Now that he doesn’t have his daddy with him, we should do better; can’t do worse. Give us that first win over this aging legend, and take all this Bucs to the Super Bowl talk and stick it up your ass.

Week 6 at Carolina: Win

3-0 on the road to start the season; that’s what a great defense does well.. travel! Again, who is the QB for this team? Wouldn’t matter if it was Newton or DelHomme, they’re going down.

Week 7 at Los Angeles Rams: Loss

We dominated them 2 years ago, then looked like crap last year. Since we won’t go undefeated on the road, and since the Rams do have a good defense, this may be a loss. Will Leonard go nuts in this Monday night tilt?

Week 8 vs New Orleans: Loss

Our first losing streak of the year. Old man Brees will be starting right? Or maybe it will be Jameis “I can see now” Winston. Won’t matter. Saints beat us last year with Bridgewater, although that was Trubisky’s first game back… we’ll take the loss here.

Week 9 at Tennessee: Loss

For some people, the pain takes over their daily lives and prevents them from buy levitra online doing activities they enjoy. In the event that you have had fulfilling sexual associations with different partners in which premature ejaculation happened occasionally or not in any way, it’s conceivable that interpersonal issues amongst you and your present partner could add to the issue. levitra online pharmacy loved this Under the circumstances that you can embrace these foods in your daily diet along with intake of herbal or nutritional supplements Hence, the above was a brief treatise on generic propecia, and its necessary details. buy viagra without This is a major concern that has to be place only at a reliable drug store as there are many viagra wholesale uk health problems faced by both men and women.

Are the wheels falling off? Is it time for a QB change? Who has been starting this whole time? As we go through the toughest part of our schedule, without facing the Vikes or Packers once yet, how will this team head into the 2nd half and who will be at the helm?

Week 10 vs Minnesota: Win

Not wanting to make a QB change before the bye week, which yeah, hasn’t occurred yet, the Bears keep Trubisky in there. Yeah, he’s been starting this whole time. He has a big game on our 2nd Monday nighter of the year, as we beat the Vikings in our first matchup of the year. Bear Down baby!

Week 11: BYE

6-4 at the Bye Week; that’s not horrible huh?

Week 12 at Green Bay: Win

Come off the bye week and head to Green Bay for a Sunday night match up. It’s time for the Bears to play like they can, put it all together, and kick the Packers ass. Check.

Week 13 vs Detroit: Win

See Week 1’s description. It’s the Lions for God’s sake.

Week 14 vs Houston: Win

In the “we should have drafted Watson” game, Trubisky continues to play well. In this one, he leads a last minute TD drive to win the game. Crazy? Maybe…

Week 15 at Minnesota: Loss

The Vikings pay us back for the first game. The first of 3 games on the road to end the season??? Who the hell put this schedule together? But hey, I thought great defenses travel well???

Week 16 at Jacksonville: Win

As Mark Brunell makes his return from retirement, the Bears put him right back in retirement with 10 sacks. OK, really, we will get a lot of sacks, and our defense will win this one for us, because you know, great defenses travel well.

Week 17 at Green Bay: Win

Come on… you think I’m going to let the Bears lose to the Packers on the last day of the season? Well, the Packers have ended our season plenty of times in the past; we did end theirs 2 years ago… time to do it again, and send Aaron out the door… and end the reign of Packers HOF QBs. Yeah!!!

11-5 is good enough to win the division and a bye week? The Bears will host a divisional game at Soldier Field. They’ll then have to go on the road to win the NFC Championship game, and of course, the Super Bowl. Why not? It’s only been 35 years since we’ve won one… See, I told you it’s wishful thinking. Bear Down!!!
