November 25, 2020: Return of Mitch

posted in: Bears | 0

Well, here we are… right where we thought we’d be… yearning for the return of Mitch Trubisky to the Bears starting QB position. And right on queue, although technically not officially, Mitchell will be back in the saddle for Sunday night’s return from the bye week in Lambeau. Praise Jesus!

OK, I may have played that up a bit. Truth is, I was fine with Mitch at QB to start the season. Truth is, I was fine when Nick took over. Truth is, they both suck. Truth is, it’s not all the QBs fault. Truth is, I believe Mitch gives us the best chance to win this week. I’m glad he’ll be back under center, and probably more times than not, out of the pocket scrambling for his life trying to give this offense a much needed spark. If there is anything we can agree on, it’s that Mitch is more mobile than Nick, right? I mean, a sloth is more mobile than Nick, so… Yes, a mobile QB… THAT’s what we need! Well, I’m just going off who’s on our roster right now. It’s not like we have Kordell Stewart sitting on the sideline, or for the throw backs, Bobby Douglas. Nope, it’s all about Trubisky right now. Aren’t you excited?

I swear I don’t get people. Team Nick or Team Mitch… all idiots IMO. There’s only one team I’m supporting and that’s the Bears, so whoever gives us the best chance to win, let’s go. I root for anybody taking that snap, and I mean anybody… yes, even Jay Cutler who I couldn’t stand. I was cheering for his ass every Sunday still. Because why? Because it’s all about Da Bears winning, that’s why! All these players come and go, but me… I’m a Bears fan through it all… before and after these guys. So yeah, a Bears player may be into it for the time they’re here; I hope everybody currently wearing the uniform is all in. And yes, there may be some guys who will support the Bears long after their playing days are over; some… But me, us die hard Bears fans, we’re lifers baby. I may not like guys who suit up on Sunday, I may not like the coach, GM, or owners. But that’s neither here nor there, at least for me. There is no other choice, and I mean NO other choice for who I’ll be rooting for every week… believe that. And good luck jumping from player to player, from team to team if that’s you; no love loss here.

So yeah, I’ll bitch about whatever I want to bitch about when it comes to the Bears or my other Chicago teams for that matter, because I can; I’m invested in their success, sometimes financially, all the time emotionally, from now until I’m gone, starting from as early as I can remember. Damn, I kind of went on a rant there…

All this to say, I don’t care who the Bears put at QB this week. Yes, we need a plan for the future, because this ain’t it, but for this year, another year where our defense is kicking ass, we need the guy that can give us the best chance to win week in and week out. And that guy… is… yes… it is Mitch. Bear Down!
