Well, it’s going to take a lot more than that to keep a kid from his candy. We hit the streets for about an hour. We’ve hit this one block the last few years. They do such an awesome job decorating. You have scary music playing; you have scary movies playing. There are spooky characters in the front yards; there were people hanging out windows. They did it up right. The end of this block also happens to be where the new mayor of Chicago lives. Yep, we hit up that house, and there she was, fresh off settling the teacher’s strike, passing out candy. My son got a ton of compliments on his costume. He was dressed in a red hoodie, with a white basket tied around his neck, with silver “handlebars”, and a little creature covered by a white towel sitting in that basket. Come on…come on. Yep, Elliott from ET; he looked good. My mom used to also make us homemade costumes growing up; I’m glad my wife does that for our son. She does a great job; he loves it. Yes, it was another fun October 31st, regardless of all that snow. We made the best of it, and added some more memories for the family. Time to turn the page for October, and open the book of November. Sounds like some more Bears talk coming to me…
