Did you see who was in the Eastern Conference Finals? Yeah, Jimmy Buckets! I’m happy for him; I knew he could always be that guy. I just wish the Bulls knew that. Trading him away is still a sore spot for me. Talk about the promise of Lauri and Zach all you want; we knew what Jimmy was. And yes, he was starting to have his diva moments, and yes, that was a turn off, but underneath it all, we knew who he was. He was that late first round draft pick who wasn’t expected to do anything. He rode the bench for a while, then, with the little playing time he got from Thibs, started to show flashes. He worked his ass off to become an outstanding two way player. I love his defense! But his offense caught up too. He’s not going to score 30 a night, although I remember being there for that 50+ point effort at the UC; he couldn’t be stopped that night. And now look at him… Just another black eye for that Bulls front office… right after getting rid of Thibs of course; watch him do well… Yes, I loved those Bulls, and although seeing Jimmy do well brings back some of those memories, I’m very happy for him; I have a reason to root for a team, even if it’s the Heat. After all, the only reason I really hated the Heat was because of the guy who went there to be carried to 9 titles supposedly…

I hoped the Clippers would beat them, and worst case the Bucks; now they’re both gone. I think who would have the better chance, the Heat or the Celtics. First instinct, tells me Boston; if I believe that, then I have to root against my boy Buckets. Can Miami really pull this off? Can they beat the Lakers? I do remember Jimmy guarded Lebron really well… now that, that possibility, if that looks like it might happen… THAT would make me tune in. Go Jimmy!
