September 3, 2020: Two Leagues

Thursday brought the draft for my second fantasy football league. This is the long time running league, where we’ve changed from snake to auction years ago. I love auction way more. Although I do love the keeper league too… Like I said before, auction & keeper would be the ultimate way to go. But for now, we’ll keep them separate and play in two leagues.

Two leagues? Jesus, what a nerd. How many more leagues can I get into? Haha… Hey, it’s fun, right? The most time you spend at any single time is on draft night. The other night was only an hour, but this auction league… get comfortable, we’re going to be here for a few.

I didn’t get to do my research for this league. This last week has been hectic and I’ve had no time… well, the time I have had has been looking at my sports cards, but anyways… work has been busy too. OK, enough whining. I’ve done this enough; I can fall right into rhythm here. Let’s map out the roster, what I want to spend on each position, etc. Let’s see where the value is, let’s not get locked in on any one guy… easier said than done. I did get locked on some guys this year, but you know what, I think it worked out OK. Remember, you will definitely overpay to get some guys, but if you really want them, then accept it; you’ll need to make that money back in other areas, either with some value picks, or some $1 dollar hoes. OK, let’s go.

On another note, these discount levitra drugs manage or even treat erectile dysfunction.

It took me a while to dip my toe in, but when I did, I jumped in. You know, it’s all about who is brought up for auction. I typically will bring up guys I do NOT want early; let guys fight it out and spend their money. Later in the draft, that strategy shifts. First guy I got was Kamara; he wasn’t as expensive as the other big 3, and I always like to have him, even though last year was a bit of a down year; heard he was battling some injuries though. My other RB was a guy I had wanted: Miles Sanders. Not a bad 1-2 punch IMO.

Shifting gears to WR, I scooped up Juju and Kenny Golladay; my other large expenditure was at the TE position. It wasn’t Kelce or Kittle money, but I got who I think is the 3rd best TE for fantasy purposes in Mark Andrews; have him in both leagues. I have a bunch of guys in both leagues; I like that… makes it easier to remember who to root for. The one guy that I do NOT have in this league is Patrick Mahomes. Spending all that money on my position players, left little in the cupboard for the QB position, and for Mahomes, you better back up the truck. My choice ended up being Drew Brees; he’s got another year left in him right?

My fricking computer kept losing internet the whole night, so I had to have my phone as backup. Then I had to deal with a work issue at the same time. I missed out on some guys I wanted to fill my roster; I also got pimped for a few since my dollars were low. But all in all, I’m pretty happy with it. Now let’s hope the football season goes off without a snag, and I don’t have to deal with the COVID aspect of managing my fantasy team; it’s made things tough in baseball. One more week right? Yep, next Thursday it is… bring it.
